Collin Morikawa has won the 149th British Open. It’s the second significant title triumph for the 24-year-old American. Morikawa added another major subsequent to blasting onto the scene with a success finally year’s PGA Championship in San Francisco. He entered the last cycle a single shot behind South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen.

Collin Morikawa utilized a line of three birdies, planned to Louis Oosterhuizen’s battles, to overwhelm Oosterhuizen and hold off Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm for his first British Open success at the youthful age of 24.
Morikawa completed 15-under, two strokes in front of Oosterhuizen and four in front of Spieth and Rahm, whose late-round difficulties weren’t sufficient to overwhelm Morikawa. The triumph in the last golf major of the year was the second for Morikawa who has played in just eight majors, and comes not exactly a year after he won the PGA Championship.
